Why choose this navy suit
-
Genuine Italian cloth. Vitale Barberis Canonico has woven wool in Italy since 1663. Super 110s is a fine, durable worsted wool with a soft hand and a natural drape, made for suits you wear every week.
-
Half-canvassed jacket. A layer of canvas runs through the chest and lapels, so the jacket moulds to you over time and the lapel rolls naturally instead of lying flat.
-
Bemberg lining. Bemberg cupro breathes and handles moisture better than polyester, so the jacket feels cooler and slides on and off easily.
-
Side vents. Two vents let the jacket move with you and sit cleanly when you sit down or put your hands in your pockets.
-
Made to your size. Choose a standard jacket size and length, give us your body measurements, or send the measurements of a suit that already fits you well.
When to wear a navy suit
Navy is the most versatile suit colour a man can own. Wear it to the office with a white or light blue shirt and a solid or patterned tie, to a wedding or formal dinner with a crisp white shirt and black or dark brown shoes, or dress it down with an open collar and loafers. The jacket also works on its own with grey trousers or chinos.
How to order your size
Standard size. Choose your jacket size (36 to 52), your length (Short, Regular or Long) and your trouser waist and inseam.
My measurements. Enter your chest, stomach, seat, shoulder, jacket length, sleeve, trouser waist and inseam, with your height and weight. We add the right ease for the fit you choose.
My favourite suit. Lay a suit that fits you well flat and measure it. We copy those numbers.
Every measurement has a picture guide, and our suit size guide explains each one.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Super 110s wool suit?
Super 110s describes how fine the wool fibres are. A higher number means finer fibres. Super 110s sits in the sweet spot for a suit you wear often: soft and smooth, but strong enough to resist creasing and wear better than very fine Super 150s cloth.
What does half-canvassed mean?
A half-canvassed jacket has a floating layer of canvas sewn through the chest and lapels instead of being glued. It gives the jacket shape, a natural lapel roll and a longer life than a fused jacket.
Is a navy suit good for a wedding?
Yes. A navy suit is one of the safest and smartest choices for a wedding guest or groomsman. Pair it with a white shirt, a silk tie and dark brown or black shoes.
Is this suit made to measure?
Yes. Every suit is cut and sewn to order for one person in our Lahore atelier, from a standard size you choose or from your own measurements.
What is included?
A two-piece suit: the jacket and the matching trousers in the same Vitale Barberis Canonico navy wool.
How long does it take to make and deliver?
Your suit is made in 10 to 12 working days, or 3 to 5 working days with urgent stitching on request. Shipping is free worldwide and tracked: delivery after dispatch takes 8 to 10 working days to the USA, UK, Canada and Europe, 7 to 8 to the Middle East and 10 to 12 to the rest of the world.
How do I care for a wool suit?
Dry clean only, and not too often. Hang the suit on a shaped hanger, brush it after wearing and let it rest a day between wears so the wool can recover.
